John Alexander Howie has been photographing Scotland's landscapes, seascapes and beaches for the past 20 years. The majority of his images are presented as they were when taken, without using any filters or special lenses, or any post-production software.

In his own words "It's about being in the right place at the right time, and having a lot of patience. Let the natural light do the rest."

John also has a keen interest in digital illustration and matte painting, mainly inspired by Scottish landscapes and architecture, and some of this work is also available here.

All images are printed on high quality photographic paper, with a matt or satin finish. They also have a border around them to help with framing.

Other specialist finishes such as canvas etc. are also available.
