The River Lossie and the surrounding area is home to a very diverse range of birdlife. Its freshwater flows in to the Moray Firth and encapsulates swampland, forest, beach, sea and estuary habitats.
I'm not sure whether this particular swan came towards me out of curiosity or threat. But it paddled around close enough and long enough for me to take this serene image.
